When You Know You Know – with Tommy McFly | Episode 90

Welcome to the latest episode of Lunch with Shelley! We are absolutely thrilled to bring you a very special conversation today with a true local media legend, the one and only Tommy McFly.

Meet Our Special Guest: Tommy McFly

Tommy is an award-winning broadcaster widely known for his incredible work as a correspondent and an anchor. With nearly 20 years of rich experience spanning across events, television, content creation, and radio, he brings a vibrant energy to everything he does. Tommy has an uncanny ability to tell compelling stories that center on real people, seamlessly bringing broader, important issues to light in a way that truly connects with audiences.

His impressive broadcast career began early—he made history as the youngest person to ever host a morning radio show in D.C. when he co-hosted DJ Jack Diamond’s morning show on Mix 107.3. For more than 10 years, he was a staple on local radio stations, hosting highly popular programs before successfully transitioning his shows to digital and podcasting platforms.

Television viewers will also know him well. He originally became a contributor to NBC4 in 2010, spent time engaging audiences at WJLA and WUSA, and eventually made a triumphant return to NBC4 to relaunch his hit program, “The Scene.”
